Dear 5th Grade Honors Chorus Singers,
A special message from Mrs. Fuhr, our Executive Directors and your guest conductor, Mrs. Cummings.
Plans for the Summer….
As of April 27th, registration for all summer camps through Frederick Parks and Rec have been placed on a temporary hold until further notice. We know that times are unpredictable right now but we are extremely hopeful that summer camps will be up and running by the time our first camp begins in July.
Format for in-person camp:
You will not want to miss our summer camp “Let’s Sing Around The World”! Work with the highly-acclaimed staff of The Frederick Children’s Chorus and senior level chorus members. Singing and music-making are the primary sources of fun and expression each day. Campers will “visit” different countries and cultures as they”travel” and experience games, foods, art, several languages, and especially music every day. With voices, instruments, and movement, the campers will engage in sharing and building understanding to recognize their place in our multicultural community.
Camp feeds the competitive game player while teaching cooperation, sportsmanship, and creativity. Thursday is still water day! Many games, relay races and challenges will involved water, ending the day with a massive water ballon game! The week will culminate on Friday afternoon in a concert for family and friends.
Visit our camps page for more information on how to register and what locations will be offered.
If camps do not meet in-person, virtual alternatives will be available!
Ready to take your love for singing to the next level? Join us at our Open House to see if the Frederick Children’s Chorus is a good fit for you! This is an information session where you get to meet the Artistic Director, Judy Dubose, and learn more about what it’s like singing for The Frederick Children’s Chorus.

Have a Younger or Older Sibling Who likes to Sing?
We offer our choral programs from age 3 to 18!
Our Little Music Makers is our youngest group of singers for ages 3 to 5 years old. After the Training Chorus, we have our Concert Chorus singers who range from 4th to 8th grade. Our highest and most advanced tier is our Chamber Singers who must be at least in 9th grade.
For more information on our other programs offered, visit the link below.
Not only do we perform locally but we’ve had the pleasure to travel around the country to perform with other children’s choruses like our own! This has been a great opportunity for our singers to learn from their peers and make wonderful memories together through music. Many of our alumni have expressed these trips to be life changing experiences and a staple of their time singing with The Frederick Children’s Chorus.
Here are a few pictures of our singers traveling over the years.
