Mockingbirds

Mockingbirds

Our Mockingbirds program is tailored for school-aged children, ages 5-8 (K-2). In Mockingbirds, kids sing, dance, learn basic harmonies, and explore musical instruments. This serves as the Chorus’s introductory performance ensemble.

Each semester, we present a special concert for parents and friends, both in the Fall and Spring. Spring semester participants also get the exciting opportunity to perform in the grand finale alongside the full Chorus!

Mockingbirds is an immersive experience, nurturing your child’s natural musical talents. They’ll effortlessly develop proper breathing, healthy vocal techniques, and rhythmic skills without even realizing it. Typically, Mockingbirds progress to the next level, Training Chorus, around 3rd or 4th grade.

To join Mockingbirds, children should be enrolled in Kindergarten. Our sessions span 12-13 weeks, with the Fall semester starting in September 3, 2024 and the Spring semester in January 2025. At the end of each semester, young singers showcase their talents to parents and friends. Additionally, in the Spring, they have the chance to shine in the season finale concert alongside the full Chorus!
