Alexandra Razskazoff, a lyric soprano originally from St. Paul, Minnesota specializes in performing Romantic and Classical operatic repertoire. She discovered her voice in middle school after making the switch from band to
choir class, where many of her schoolmates who sat in front of her complained that she sang “too loudly at all times”. She happily took this in stride and eagerly
proceeded to take regular voice lessons. After a mere month of training, it was clear that operatic singing would be her true life calling.
Alexandra is an alumna of both the Peabody Conservatory (BM) and the Juilliard School (MM), as well as several other well-renowned programs in the US. She studies currently with Eileen and Dr. Stanley Cornett who are strong pillars of the operatic training faculty at Peabody.
This season, Alexandra is engaged to cover the leading roles of Hanna in The Merry Widow, and Micaela in Carmen at Palm Beach Opera, as well, will make her debut with the Bozeman Symphony in Beethoven 9. Alexandra has performed roles such as Violetta in La Traviata, Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni.
She enjoys cooking, biking and raising her two tortoise-shell kittens with
Bass-Baritone (and partner) Adam Cioffari who is also on the program. Alexandra and Adam first met performing their first ever Messiah together with the Columbus Symphony in 2018. This piece will always be a special one and we are so thrilled at the opportunity to be on stage together again!
